Kaka, a Brazilian international footballer currently playing for Real Madrid C. F., became an 乬Ambassador Against Hunger乭 in 2004 and is supporting WFP.

    
     

Miss Kurara Chibana, crowned Miss Universe Japan in 2006 and finished as first runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant subsequently held in Los Angeles, has been working as a WFP Official Supporter since 2007.

    
     

In 2008, Mr. Shoichiro Beppu of NHK received from the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA) the Ricardo Ortega Memorial Prize for Broadcast Journalism for his news reporting on current situations in Somalia and WFP乫s food aid 乬for comprehensive and insightful reporting on the world food shortage.乭  Mr. Beppu and his crew donated the prize money, 10,000 USD to WFP.

    
     
 
Mr. Shunsuke Watanabe is an underhand pitcher for the Chiba Lotte Marines, a Japanese professional baseball team and one of the starting pitchers for the team.  In 2009, he decided to donate 10,000 yen per an inning he pitches to WFP as long as he plays as a professional.  In the same year, he threw 144 and 1/3 innings, so he donated 1,443,000 yen to WFP.
